1. Write a newspaper report on India making a record by winning 7 medals at Tokyo Olympics 2021.
Kolkata, July 28: Yesterday India has completed its wonderful journey at Tokyo Olympics 2021. Till now India won 7 medals. In this beautiful journey, India won one gold medal, two silver medals, four bronze medals. Neeraj Chopra won Gold medal in Javelin throw, Ravi Kumar Dahiya won Silver medal in Wrestling, Mirabai Chanu won a silver medal in Weight lifting, PV Sindhu won bronze in women's singles badminton, Lovlina Borgohain won bronze in Women's Welterweight Boxing, the Indian hockey team won bronze in Hockey, Bajrang Punia won bronze in Wrestling. PMO personally congratulated each of them. Anurag Thakur, Sports Minister of India told that India will perform better in the upcoming years.
2. Write a report on the cyclone created in the bay of Bengal.
Kolkata, May 28: A devastating cyclone killed 19 people and injured many when it swept a few districts of South Bengal last night. The wind speed was about 130 k.m per hour. The affected districts were Midnapore, South and North 24 Parganas, Hooghly and Kolkata. The worst affected areas are Khejuri, Rammanagar, Contai, Sutahata, Nandigram, Hinglaganj, and Gosaba. As a result of this disastrous cyclone, thousands of houses have been destroyed and trees uprooted. The govt. took immediate steps and relief materials were sent to the govt. cyclone-hit areas. Rupees 2 lakhs were sanctinoed and 100 tons of dry food and 1,000 tarpaulins and garments were sent. The relief camps were set up in the affected areas in Midnapore to shelter the homeless people.
